There is a pop-up exhibit in Sherman Oaks called That’s From Disneyland. This is a free and family-friendly exhibit that Disney fans will enjoy seeing. You will find ride vehicles like the beloved skyway buckets and even the vehicles used for the short-term attraction rocket rods. Old park signs and other memorabilia decorate the space. The former Disneyland Tour Guide in me truly enjoyed seeing pieces from the park’s past. Especially items that I had spoken about on tours.

Unfortunately, this pop up has ended. But, you can read about other pop ups in LA here.
It was so fun to see all of the memorabilia and I even saw a former Disney Channel Star! Joey Lawrence from Brotherly Love and Horse Sense was there with his daughter. John Stamos and a few other Disney-loving celebrities were at the media event just a couple of nights earlier. So you never know who you’ll run into there.
We spoke with LA adventurer Lena from Lenazilla on Instagram for the LA Dreaming Podcast all about pop up experiences in LA. You can listen to the podcast through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, iHeartRadio, Stitcher, or Podbean.
There are quite a few photo spots at the exhibit which added to the fun. So many people, myself included, seemed thrilled to get to sit inside one of the skyway buckets again. You can also sit inside a doom buggy from the Haunted Mansion. I also loved seeing Jose from the Tiki Room.
Where Is That’s From Disneyland
It is located between Petsmart and Ross near the Westfield Mall in Sherman Oaks. The address is 13730 Riverside Drive. You can find free parking in the lot or you can park at the mall and walk over.
What to Know Before You Go
It is not open every day. You can visit Wednesday through Sunday from 12 pm to 8 pm.
They will be hosting special events including a podcast with Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter and a special evening with Alan Menkin. If you live in the Los Angeles area I would recommend checking this out. It’s not really worth driving a long distance for but fun for those who live close by!
