What is The Disney Movie Insiders Program?
Disney Movie Rewards now known as Disney Movie Insiders is a program that lets you use points for gift cards, DVDs, and unique experiences. In October 2019 Frozen 2 premiere tickets and after-party tickets became available. Have you always wanted to tour the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank? That is only available to Disney Movie Insiders or people on an Adventures By Disney LA trip. This is a free program that is a great perk for those of us who can’t get enough of Disney magic.

How Do You Earn Points?
Do you own any Disney Blu Rays or DVDs? Have you ever noticed a blue piece of paper in the DVD case that has a code on it? If you click here and create an account you can start earning rewards after entering your codes. If you see an eligible Disney movie in theaters you can submit a picture of your ticket stub and earn points. In addition to redeeming codes from movies, you can also earn points through codes that you can find in emails from Disney Movie Insiders or through their social media accounts.
My biggest suggestion is to team up with someone who would also share a similar goal. For example, if you redeem points for a Studio Tour that accommodates multiple people you’ll get there quicker earning points. I wish I had known about the good rewards when I first joined, I used to cash my points out for movies and giftcards which is great, but I could have been at the 12,000 points needed for a studio tour already.

There are two other ways I know of to earn points. Be sure to open emails from Disney Movie Insiders so that you can take advantage of any mystery points they send you. The final way I know of to earn points is by following the Disney Movie Rewards Facebook page. During the month of December, they shared codes almost daily to celebrate 25 Days of Christmas.
What Rewards Are There?
I made an account several years ago. So far I have received a Disney gift card, Saving Mr. Banks, and Mary Poppins on DVD. But, once I found out about some of the more exclusive rewards I have been saving my points and I’m only now at 9,000 so I still have a ways to go. The reward options are clothing, books, Disney & Starbucks gift cards, Blu-Rays and DVDs, movie gift certificates, collectibles, and special Disney experiences like touring the studio or tickets to a movie premiere.
Is It Worth Joining?
Yes. It is a free program so even if you don’t earn points that often it isn’t costing you anything to be part of the program. DVDs are one of my favorite things to buy so being able to get free movies on occasion is perfect for me.
