The following programs will help you earn gift cards that you can use towards your trip.
Bing Rewards
You can create an account through the Bing search engine. You can do searches through Bing daily on both your mobile device and desktop. Once you have enough points you can redeem them for items like Starbucks and Chipotle. You’ll find both of those places all over LA. Who doesn’t love getting free food?
ShopKicks
This is one of the easiest ways to earn gift cards. ShopKicks is an app you’ll need to download on your phone. The app rewards you for walking into certain stores. You can also earn points for certain purchases and for scanning items in select stores. Points can be redeemed for PayPal cash, Cheesecake Factory gift cards, Disney gift cards, and more. I have redeemed more than $100 in gift cards through them.

GO City LA Pass
I have used the Go City LA Card as well as the Go City Boston pass. These cards are an incredible money saver. How does it work? You pay one fee but get access to several hot spots around town. The only catch? The card only works from 9 am to 5:30 pm. But every day you add on to your card the more money you save. This card can get you into fun places like the Warner Bros Studio Tour, and Six Flags Magic Mountain or use it for rides on the Santa Monica Pier and more!
Sprinkles Perk
Sprinkles cupcakes are a favorite among locals in LA. If you have not joined their rewards program called Sprinkles Perks do it! You will get a free cupcake from joining the program. And trust me. They are delicious. You can join the perks here.
VIP Access Card from Hollywood and Highland
You can get this card for free by visiting the discover LA offices at the Hollywood and Highland shopping center. The card gives you deals like a free cake pop with a purchase from Starbucks, a discount on the Dolby Theatre tour, and more. It takes just a few minutes to get the card but the potential savings make it more than worth your time.
