The 2024 LA County Fair is taking place in the spring to give attendees better weather. Opening day was May 3rd and the fair will run through May 27th at the Pomona Fairgrounds. We are going to share LA County Fair Hacks you need to know to save some money on your visit.

Discounted Tickets to the LA County Fair
If you want to buy discounted LA County Fair tickets you have several options to do so.
You can buy tickets directly from the LA County Fair website which is cheaper than purchasing the tickets in person at the gate. The tickets are $15-$25 for a single day for an adult if purchased online. If purchased at the gate the tickets are $30. Please note that it is cashless for tickets and parking onsite.
Superior Grocers is selling $16 adult and $11 child tickets for any day admission at participating locations. You can also purchase a $40 RCS carnival package that includes 12 rides (excluding Titan) and 2 games.
O’Reilly Auto Parts
Visit a participating O’Reilly Auto Parts store to purchase $16 adult and $12 child tickets. They can be used for any Thursday or Memorial Day.
Farmer Boys
Purchase $16 adult and $12 child tickets for any day at Farmer Boys restaurants.
AAA Members can save on admission tickets to the LA County Fair on 5/9. Tickets start at $9. You can purchase discounted tickets here.
Food Drive Thursdays on 5/9, 5/16, and 5/23 you can bring 5 canned goods per person and get free entry to the fair from 11 am to 4 pm.
Resident Discount Days
LA County residents can enjoy $8 admission on 5/4.
Pomona residents can enjoy $1 admission on 5/9.
La Verne residents can enjoy $1 admission on 5/10.
Veterans Discount
Veterans can enjoy $9 admission for Memorial Day, 5/27.
*Limited number of free tickets good for admission on Memorial Day, May 27, are also available at VetTix.
Eligible veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, and their families can request free tickets through the Veteran Tickets Foundation at www.vettix.org. You must use an existing or create an account to request tickets.
Senior Discount
Guests 60+ can enjoy $12 single-day admission when purchased online and $15 single-day admission at the gate.
Parking
It costs $20 to park at the fair if you purchase parking ahead of time. It is $25 in person. You can park at the Pomona Transit Center and take the Foothill Transit line 197. Get off at White and McKinley and enter through the Red Gate. I cannot find the 2024 pricing but the last time I used this I paid $1.75 each way. If you are paying with cash and not a tap card you’ll need to have exact change.
Food
Eating at the fair is always a lot of fun but it can also be expensive. You can bring your own reusable water bottles as long as they are empty when you enter but, we have never had luck easily finding the refill stations. Water bottles are fine as well as long as they come in empty. You can bring in factory-sealed water bottles which might be the best option. There are a lot of participating food vendors that are offering value menu items. You can see a list of participating vendors here.
Going to the fair is a fun experience even if you don’t go on any rides or play any games. There are so many exhibits to explore, animals to see, and other events to participate in and enjoy. We loved doing the silent disco at NextFest, seeing the ducks race, interacting with sheep and goats and so much more.
