The Grove Los Angeles is one of my favorite spots to go to. It is a trendy shopping center that offers a great variety of entertainment. Both visitors and locals truly enjoy this spot. I have a lot of family and friends who come to visit and every single one of them has enjoyed The Grove. It has a classic vibe that helps to set it apart from other outdoor shopping centers in the area. Plus, they host fabulous events throughout the year.

Favorite Places to Dine at The Grove
There are several choices when it comes to dining at The Grove. Connected to this shopping center is the original Los Angeles Farmers Market. A lot of people enjoy the old-time vibe this spot has as well as the variety of foods. I find it to be overpriced for what it is so I prefer dining at the nearby restaurants but it is definitely worth checking out. If you don’t feel like walking to the farmers market you can catch a ride on the cute trolley.
My personal favorites are The Cheesecake Factory, yes I’m aware you can eat at this place anywhere but I still love it. Maggiano’s, my family, and I always leave with an amazing amount of food for future meals. I love going to get a cupcake at Sprinkles!
Events At The Grove
Some of my favorite events that I have attended have taken place at The Grove.
Bloggers Who Brunch is a monthly event that takes place during the summer months. The events offer lite bites, photo ops, and occasionally workouts. These events are free and open to the public.
A lot of fun events with recognizable guests take place in the park at The Grove. I previously attended a welcome back from Rio celebration for Olympian Gabby Douglas.
Barnes and Noble at the Grove has a lot of book signings. I have met several celebrities at their events over the years including Mindy Kailing, Drew Barrymore, Dick Van Dyke, and Neil Patrick Harris just to name a few. You must purchase a book or cd to meet the guest. These are wristbanded events. The wristbands are given with your onsite purchase beginning at 9 am.

Citi Events
If you have a Citi card you will have the opportunity to attend fun events at The Grove throughout the year. In the spring my boyfriend and I went to a movie premiere that Citi was sponsoring. We even got to go to the pre-party at Dominique Ansel. Other Citi events have included a private Michael Bolton Concert and VIP tickets to the Christmas Tree Lighting.
A few of the Citi-sponsored events do not require you to have a Citi card in order to attend. They host live recordings of podcasts and mini-concerts from singers like Andy Grammer. You can find out more about Citi Private Pass events here.
One of the most popular events is the Christmas Tree Lighting at The Grove. It is a free event and people line up hours before it begins. There are appearances from recognizable faces. In the two times that I have gone, I have seen Seth MacFarlane, Meghan Trainor, and Andy Grammer. The firework show and snowfall finale really help kick off the holiday season.
Street Style Cinema
For a few weeks every summer they host Street Style Cinema. They play a movie in the park and give you free snacks. My Mom and I had a blast watching The Devil Wears Prada here.
The Grove has a decent amount of stores for shopping though the stores are a bit pricey with places like Barney’s. I like coming here for the atmosphere and the events more than the shopping.
Parking at The Grove
My only complaint with The Grove is the parking. It can cost up to $24 to park here depending on how long you stay. You can find free street parking if you are willing to walk. I typically park in a neighborhood off of Martel near the Coffee Bean.
