If you’re a local like me who is always looking for something new to do you might have heard of the Rose Bowl Flea Market. I did not grow up going to flea markets and therefore never made an effort to go to one when I moved to LA. However, after watching some fellow Instagrammers go I realize I might be missing out on some pretty cool stuff. The experience completely blew my mind and made me so excited for the day when I can decorate my own home.

The Rose Bowl Flea Market takes place on the second Sunday of every month. The flea market hours are 5 am-3 pm. The cost of admission varies depending on how early you want to enter. Please note that the website warns that not all vendors will be opened before 9 am. VIP admission gets in you from 5 am-7 am at $25 per person. Early bird goes from 7 am-8 am at $18 per person, express admission is from 8 am-9 am at $14 and general admission starts at 9 am for $9.
I did general admission and didn’t feel like I made a mistake by not coming earlier. Children under 12 can get in for free with an adult. Parking is also free though if you would like to park near the front you can pay $15 for VIP parking.
The flea market fully circles the Rose Bowl Stadium but there are so many stands that I could not believe how much space this market takes up. There are over 2,500 vendors and typically the crowd is around 20,000 people. You never know who you might spot here. Celebrities like Cameron Diaz and Angelina Jolie have previously attended. A friend of mine went in March and saw MacCaualy Culkin and Brenda Song! My recommendation is not to go here hoping to see stars but if you do come just keep an eye out for the people around you.
As far as what you can expect to find it is a little bit of everything. I think furniture and art pieces are some of the best finds that they have. But truly, they have everything! You can purchase food like cheeseburgers, tacos, pretzels, and more. Food prices range from $1.50 to $9.
What to Know Before You Go:
Some vendors are cash only
There is no shade so bring sunscreen, hats, umbrellas, and a water bottle.
This event happens rain or shine.
On the last Friday of each month, you can take a behind-the-scenes Rose Bowl Stadium Tour.
