The pink wall in Hollywood is now back to normal. But the temporary change was really fun!

Melrose Avenue is one of the most popular streets for Instagrammers in Los Angeles. This eclectic street is full of painted murals that hundreds of people take photos with every single day. The Paul Smith pink wall in Hollywood is perhaps the most iconic of them all. For the month of June, the pink wall has been given a temporary rainbow makeover in honor of pride month. The already popular photo spot has increased in popularity now that a new design has taken over the wall.

You can see in the picture above what the wall normally looks like. The front of the store is still painted pink so if you just have to have a pink wall photo in June you can still get one. On the side of the store is where you will find the rainbow mural.

paul smith hollywoodThe address for the Paul Smith store is 8221 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046. There is limited parking for customers at the store. You can find metered parking along Melrose and/or the neighboring streets. Across the street from the store is Carrera Cafe which is another popular Instagram spot. They change the mural on their wall at least once a month.

My friend Bruno and I had so much fun taking pictures with the rainbow wall. Instagram partnered with the store to put the rainbow mural up. They are encouraging visitors to tag their photos with #kindcomments. This is to encourage kindness and compassion.

The background is so wonderfully colorful and the pictures that Bruno and I took out the biggest smile on my face. Even though it is crowded with people trying to get a bunch of pictures the wall is so big that it is pretty easy to get your pictures without having other people in the background too. If you want someone to take a picture of you and your friend offer to take one for them first. Don’t forget to spread some kindness while you’re there too!
